I didn’t start the classes
with any great enthusiasm to be a potter, my object was to fill
my time and make new friends. However, I became totally enthusiastic
about working with clay. Particularly, stonewear clay and glazes.
This led to an eight year interest
and during that time I had my own garden studio and kiln in the
garage and exhibitions in the Gordon Gallery in Wimbledon Village.

As a hobby there is little to touch the magic of clay, to create
solid, tangible exciting work. My next phase of work was a venture
into painting...
